Personal skills are yours. You name them, write the instructions, and enable them for Ask. They are not custom agents and they do not get their own chat route.

Why write one

  • Repeat a format (brief, outline, study notes)
  • Keep a domain vocabulary in one place
  • Share a way of working with your future self — not a public agent store

How to create one

  1. Open the account menu → Settings → Skills
  2. Click Add
  3. Fill in:
    • Name — short, easy to @mention
    • Instructions — what Ask should do, in plain language
  4. Save, then enable the skill
  5. On Home, turn on Skills and mention @your-skill
You can also Browse AskNex skills and copy one as a starting point (it saves as a personal -copy).

Instruction tips

  • Say the output shape (“three bullets, then a source list”)
  • Say what to ignore
  • Keep it one job per skill
