Step 1: Sign in
- Visit asknex.chat
- Open Ask or Get Started
- Continue with Google, or continue with email
- Open
/app— that is Home
Step 2: Learn the chrome
Sidebar
- New Chat — start a thread on Home
- Library — past threads, bookmarks, and files
- Account menu (bottom) — Settings, appearance, higher limits, sign out
Composer
The Home composer has two modes:- Ask — web, tools, and skills
- NexDocs — your uploaded files
Step 3: Your first Ask
- Click New Chat
- Leave the toggle on Ask
- Type a question — for example, “What changed in renewable energy this year?”
- Read the answer and open Sources
- Ask a follow-up in the same thread
Step 4: Chat with a file
- Switch the composer to NexDocs, or open Library and upload from Files
- Add a PDF, Word doc, text, markdown, or spreadsheet
- Wait until processing finishes
- Ask things like:
- “Summarize this document”
- “What are the key findings?”
- “Extract dates and named people”
Step 5: Try a skill
Skills are instructions Ask can follow. They are not a separate Agents Hub.- Open the account menu → Settings → Skills
- Browse AskNex skills, or Add a personal skill
- Enable the skill, then return to Home
- In Ask, turn on Skills in the composer tools
- Mention the skill with
@namewhen you want it for that turn
Step 6: Library
- Open Library
- Reopen a thread, or filter to files
- Bookmark answers you want later
- Share a thread from the answer chrome when you need a link
